The facility is located in an attractive residential area of Appen in the direct vicinity of the town of Pinneberg. The nursing home Appen is designed to suit the needs and comfortable at the same time
The house is equipped to the most modern standards and offers a comfortable and caring home to 118 residents. The bright and friendly single and double bedrooms - respectively with own bathroom and balcony or patio - are equipped with telephone and television connection as well as a “nurse alarm”. The whole house has state-of-the-art emergency call and fire alarm systems so that “all-round safety” is guaranteed for the residents.
The focus of the nursing activity is placed on the resident
Qualified and caring nursing and supervision of the residents is always given the maximum priority at DANA GmbH. The focus is placed upon on the resident as a human being in our facility. Friendly and qualified nursing staff is available for the residents 24 hours a day. It goes without speaking that our services in the facility include rehabilitative and health-promoting measures.
A free choice of doctors is a matter of course in the DANA facilities. The skilled nurses shall be pleased to assist in mediating special therapeutic measures such as physiotherapy, speech therapy or a massage. Hairdressing and chiropody appointments can be made in the house. If requested the nurses shall also arrange for the services of a religious minister.
The quality of life of the home resident has maximum priority
The DANA nursing home Appen offers its residents a variety of activities in the therapeutic and cultural field such as memory training and music therapy, gymnastics, creative work, musical events, game activities and reading groups as well as seasonal events and festivities.
A catering service is provided by the inhouse kitchen
The nursing home Appen has an excellent inhouse kitchen which also caters for the special needs and requests of the residents. Freshly prepared main meals and snacks are offered every day. Besides vegetarian menus the chefs also create diet or light meals from their pans.
A special meeting point: the bistro “La Santé”
Both the residents of the house as well as guests are welcome in the cosy bistro.
